Practice the pound pivot and complementary moves. (video option)
Start from the right side of the court – sweep left to right, drive with an influence step (left foot), towards the baseline. Stop, spin back, pivot on the right foot (behind foot) spinning towards the sideline, towards the top of the key and then square to the basket into the jump shot. Once you have learned the basic pound pivot add an up and under move (on the square up, fake and go under stepping across the defender’s body) and a return spin move (spin square then spin back).
