Practice the slide dribble as a deception move.
Dribble facing the defender, hips down / knees bent. Dribble the ball behind your back from side to side. Practice using 2 rhythm dribbles then a slide dribble; then 1 rhythm dribble then a slide dribble; then slide dribble – slide dribble. As confidence is gained add contact on the upper arm from a coach or teammate.
