Practice a dribble sequence that challenges the mind as well as the body.
Start with a simple dribble sequence – inside out, cross over, between the legs, around the back. Do a sequence or two to get a rhythm going. Easy right? Now challenge the mind. Do the first 3 dribbles in the sequence (inside out, cross over, between the legs) and then shuffle to the side – away from the ball. Next start with the fourth dribble then the first then the second (around the back, inside out, cross over) and shuffle away from the ball. Now start with the next dribble in the sequence (the third – between the legs), the fourth and the first (between the legs, behind the back, inside out. Finish by starting with the second, then third, then fourth dribble move (cross over, between the legs, around the back). On every third dribble move shuffle away from the ball and start a sequence of the next three moves.
