Practice target recognition (eyes to the rim) and quick release of the shot.
Face away from the basket in an athletic stance – hips down, balanced – ball in your hand in a triple threat position. Jump and rotate 180°, landing, balanced, square to the basket. As soon as the feet touch the floor shoot the ball. A critical factor in shot accuracy is bringing your eyes to the center of the rim. In this drill you must quickly locate the rim as you hop / turn.
