Post players practice moving to the correct location of the baseline or top down drive.
There are two variations to this drill.
Variation 1 – A player sets up on the wing with two balls. Another offensive player sets up on the same side at the block. The ball handler attacks the baseline with the dribble (two balls). The post player vacates the position, sprinting to the same side elbow and turning to receive a pass. The ball handler passes one ball to the post player who shoots the jump shot. The ball handler shoots the other ball.
Variation 2 – A player sets up at the top of the key with two balls. Another offensive player sets up on the left block. As the ball handler dribbles into the key with two balls the post player vacates her position, sprinting to the short corner to receive a pass. The ball handler passes one ball to the post player who shoots the jump shot. The ball handler shoots the other ball.
