Practice the jump stop and various pivots.
Start below the baseline. On the coach’s command, the player sprints to the elbow and jump stops. The coach calls out the pivot (reverse pivot) and the player executes a reverse pivot, staying low and balanced. The coach then gives the next command and the player sprints back to the end line. Just before reaching the end line the player changes pace and cuts to the side, changing direction.
