Description
Competitive conditioning drills.
Summary

Drill 1:

A player is set at each corner. On the signal they sprint and close out at the elbow, backpedal down the lane to the baseline, slide back to the corner and sprint full court and back.

 

Drill 2:

A player is just inside the three-point line, foul line extended line on both sides. A player is at each lane line / endline. On the signal the baseline players sprint to the elbow and back to the baseline, then sprint full court trying to catch the other players. On the signal the players at the foul line extended start to backpedal the full length of the court trying to beat the baseline players to the far endline.. All sprint back after touching the far endline.

 

Drill 3:

One player is at the elbow. One player is at the baseline. On the signal they sprint to the center circle and sprint around the circle clockwise, then on to the far baseline. Repeat sprinting counterclockwise.

 

Drill 4:

One player at each corner. On the signal they sprint to the elbow, circle the elbow, sprint to the mid-court corner and circle it, sprint to the far elbow and circle it, return to the mid-court corner and circle it, then back to the original elbow and circle it and finish by sprinting back to their corner.

 

Drill 5:

Set up three low cones each at the first block, hash mark, elbow and top of the key. A player sets up inside the lane at each spot. On the signal the players slide to the opposite lane line and back, picking up a cone and bringing it back to the opposite lane line. Repeat with all three cones. When done the next player (set up outside the lane) Sprints to the cone and repeats the process, returning the cones to the original positions. Continue until everybody completes the task.

Repeat but this time slide to the cone and backpedal back to drop it off.
