Description

A sequence of drills to improve anticipation and reaction time. (video options - 4)

Summary

A coach or player holds a tennis ball in each hand, palms facing down. A player is in an athletic stance 6 - 8 feet away. In the first round the coach randomly drops a ball and the player quickly steps to the ball, catching it and stopping, then tossing it back to the coach. To increase intensity the coach drops one ball to the side and then tosses the other ball out ahead. The player quickly moves to catch each ball. To increase intensity again the coach repeats the above but turns in various direction while tossing the balls (Dance Drill).
