Set up at the mid-court circle with four defenders set around the circle, facing in. Have four other players (1,2,3 or 4) stationed about 15 feet away in each direction and behind the defenders (forming a square). A coach throws a pass to 1,2,3 or 4. The two defenders nearest the receiver sprint and trap the ball. The other two defenders take away the closest pass and the long pass respectively. The receiver must sweep / rip before passing to another player. On the pass the two closest defenders trap the ball again and the other two take the deny or long pass position. Phase 2 – add an escape dribble option. SEE – SPRINTING OUT OF A TRAP BREAKTHROUGH BASKETBALL ( 3:03) https://youtu.be/zbnWnPPY0qI
